Braemar Farm Gardens
Braemar Farm Gardens, lovingly established over 30 years ago by Warren and Robyn, is a mature country garden rich in seasonal beauty and quiet charm.
Named by its original owners, possibly in homage to the Scottish village of Braemar, the garden today reflects decades of thoughtful planting, natural design, and a deep respect for the land.
Set against a backdrop of rolling hills, the garden offers something new and beautiful in every season. In spring, over 400 rhododendrons burst into colour alongside early roses.
By late December, towering Himalayan lilies steal the show with their dramatic height and exotic blooms. Autumn brings a spectacular display of colour, especially from the many maple trees scattered throughout the grounds.
The garden unfolds across several areas, from the beautifully maintained house surrounds to a hidden gully at the foot of the hill, where Warren and Robyn created a small lake and wetland. This lush, sheltered space is home to a wide variety of plants, including more than 30 magnolias, a mass of hydrangeas, and many of Warren’s favourite cedars. A natural stream runs through the gully, keeping the hydrangeas thriving without the need for irrigation.
Throughout the property, visitors will also find roses, dahlias, zinnias, gladioli, and a remarkable stand of redwoods. Hundreds of daffodils bloom in late winter, many of which are grown for Daffodil Day.

Today, Braemar Farm Gardens is cared for by John and Sue, who see themselves not as owners but as stewards of this beautiful landscape. They maintain the tracks, mow the grass walkways, spray the edges, and ensure the garden remains tidy and welcoming, while allowing it the freedom to grow and evolve naturally.
Well-maintained bridges connect different areas of the garden, and there are plenty of quiet spots to rest, reflect, or enjoy a picnic under the trees.
With so many highlights across the seasons, Braemar Farm Gardens is a place that rewards return visits and a haven for those who appreciate the serenity and splendour of a truly lived-in garden.
