Evesham
A returning favourite, Evesham has been a 20 year journey for Grant and Vicky Harper. From a bare paddock, Grant designed Evesham from scratch – aiming to recreate an English country beauty to remind him of its namesake in the Cotswolds.

The backdrop of native bush and exotics borders the grounds of Rathkeale College, where Grant has worked for many years. The mature sequoia and gums were part of Alfred Buxton’s 1925 planting for the Maunsell Family’s Rathkeale Homestead.
The garden spans just over two hectares. Weave your way through the woodland areas and follow the buxus and English Beech hedging into the flower gardens close to the house, full of heritage roses. Huge specimen trees give a sense of grandeur and history to this garden.
One of Grant’s favourite plants in the garden is the South African Clivia. He has successfully propagated hundreds and will be selling some from his collection for the garden tour weekend.
On Saturday, Rathkeale’s Fete will be on – a great place to find delicious refreshments and tour the school’s historic gardens.
